Researcher at Az from March 2009 (FCT SFRH/BI/33759/2009) to 2013, when she started to work exclusively on the projects Biblioteca DigiTile: Tiles and Ceramic on line (PTDC/EAT-EAT/117315/2010) and Lisbon in Tiles Before the 1755 Earthquake (PTDC/EAT-EAT/099180/2008).

Catarina Figueiredo holds a course on Decorative Painting and a technical course on Tile Manufacture and Restoration from the Ricardo Espírito Santo foundation. She collaborated with the company Mural da História and, later on, with the National Azulejo Museum (2005 to 2008). 

She holds a Master’s degree in Museology from the Lusófona University, with a dissertation entitled Inovação Museológica: Adaptação ao Manual de Oslo, supervised by Mário Canova Moutinho (2008).
