Given the municipality’s interest in developing activities related to the inventory, study, preservation and dissemination of the region’s cultural heritage, this institution and the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon set up a collaboration protocol on 26 May 2014. 

The document’s main objective was to define the terms in which Az – Azulejo Research Network would support the inventory of the region’s tile heritage, ensuring the compatibility between the municipality’s database and Az Infinitum – Azulejo Indexation  and Referencing System. It was also established that Az would provide the municipality’s technicians with specific training on inventory practices. 

All activities undertaken in the context of this protocol will be mediated by specific agreements, which will establish the details of the cooperation.
